Restylane\u00ae, Restylane Silk\u00ae, Restylane Refyne\u00ae, and Silicone<\/h2>\n

Patients choose to have lip enhancements<\/a> for many different reasons. Some patients are looking to make their lips larger, fill in lost volume with age, or even build the border of the lip to help with fine lines. Dr. Funcik will ultimately decide which lip enhancement product is best for each patient.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of the lip enhancement products Dr. Funcik will choose from:<\/p>\n

Restylane\u00ae<\/strong> is a FDA-approved product that is designed to give fullness or volume to the lips. Dr. Funcik may choose the Restylane\u00ae when a patient is looking to add lots of volume to the lips while addressing stubborn lip lines above the lip. The product typically last 3-6 months in the lips. This product does cause some swelling.<\/p>\n

Restylane Silk\u00ae<\/strong> is a FDA-approved product that is designed to put back the natural soft volume that is lost with aging. Dr. Funcik may choose this product for a patient looking to add soft volume to the lips. The product lasts around 6 months in the lips. This product causes a LOT of swelling. You could possible swell for up to 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Restylane Refyne\u00ae<\/strong> is a FDA-approved product that is designed to be similar to both the Restylane\u00ae and the Restylane Silk\u00ae. This product is soft like the Restylane Silk\u00ae but also has the volume like the Restylane\u00ae. Dr. Funcik may choose this product if a patient is looking to get the most volume or fullness. This product lasts around 6 months in the lips. This product does cause some swelling.<\/p>\n

Silicone Lips<\/strong> is a permanent option for patients looking to add volume to the lips. Dr. Funcik has been treating his patients for decades with this product. He will do this treatment on a patient that has had one of the Restylane\u00ae products done prior. Most patients that are tired of coming back and getting injected or want to save money may choose to do this treatment. This product is done in 2 stages. You will come in for the treatment and come back 6 weeks after for a second round. Some patients do choose to do a third or fourth treatment at an additional cost. There is some swelling with this product. Most of Dr. Funcik’s staff have the silicone in their lips so make sure you check them out next time you are at the office. It looks very natural unlike some well-known celebrities.<\/p>\n

Patients that are good candidates for these treatments are patients who do not have allergies that can react adversely with the product, patients over 21 years old, patients that do not have medical conditions that could impair the effects of the treatment, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.<\/p>\n

The side effects from these treatments are swelling, bruising, tenderness, pain at injections site, redness, and possible bumps. Typically, these subside in 2-7 days after treatment. During your consultation, Dr. Funcik will inform you of all risks and possible side effects.<\/p>\n

Results may not last the same amount of time for everyone, and further treatment may be necessary as wrinkles and lines begin to reappear.<\/p>\n
